Purpose of the Pool
An important first step in building a pool with Carlton Pools is to decide what you are going to use the pool for. Do you plan on using it to exercise, water aerobics or lap swimming? Will you be entertaining there often, or is it mostly for personal use? Is a spa or hot tub important to you? While some of these considerations will be decided by your budget or the size of your yard, there is a lot you can decide based on your wants and needs. You and your family will be spending a lot of time in the pool, so make sure it’s what will fit your needs long-term.
While deciding on all the uses of your swimming pool and the budget that you have, you also need to consider what swimming pool cleaning method best fits your needs. This can be limited by your budget, but you may want to consider spending more money if the cleaning method of your choice is more expensive. It may be worth spending more money up front on an Ozone system if chlorine bothers you. The type of cleaning system that you have installed will make a difference in the level of future upkeep that is required to maintain your pool. So as you look at your budget, make sure to consider your future budget as well.
Next, you will want to decide the best location for your pool. Again, your lot size may determine that for you. However, you may have many choices of appealing locations if you have a large yard. If there are children in the house, you may want it where it is easily visible from many windows. There may be existing landscape that will affect your decision. Many times, Carlton Pools may have many options and insights you have not considered.
